Acupuncturists are required to have a Master’s degree to get licensure in Florida and can take further training earning a Doctorate degree. I had to do 3200 hours of study including 900 hours of supervised clinical training, and I had to pass three national exams to get licensure in Florida. The World Health Organization recognizes acupuncture as proven effective by controlled trials for 25 conditions including:
